CHIEF ELEANYA AGU OKOROJI OJI-AKA-AGHO-MGBO Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji was born by Honourable Prince Agu Okoroji of Ndi Dike Royal kindred Ihungwu Abiriba. His mother, nee Nwulari Mgbogba Ole was born at Ndi Aja Amogudu Abiriba. He is happily married to Lolo Sandra Eleanya Okoroji and the union is blessed with six children. EDUCATION Chief Eleanya attended Abiriba Central School, Old Court Primary School Aba; Enuda High School, Abiriba and Methodist College, Uzuakoli where he passed out with flying colours. He holds a Bachelor of science Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Computer science from Southern University, Baton Rouge, USA.  To further his education and knowledge he attended a lot of workshops in Germany and China and successfully obtained the certificates. COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji's contributions go beyond his immediate environs. Moved by a deep love for his community, Abiriba and Abia State, he built the famous Tower clock at Amogudu, Abiriba and Esiaba Street at Umungasi, Aba to make Abians time-conscious people. CAREER He is the Executive Director, Operations at Star Paper Mill Limited, Aba and doubles as the Chairman and Managing Director of Elegunce Industries and Oil Mills Limited, Aba. An Accountant and Manufacturer, Chief Eleanya Okoroji started his career in 1990 as an Accounting Manager at Star Paper Mill Limited, Aba. A man who believes in stability, continuity and perseverance, he worked his way up in his over  twenty years of meritorious service in the company to get to his present status. He  has worked as the Special Advisor to the Governor of Abia state. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES He has served as the President of the prestigious Aba Sports Club between 2003 and 2005, and assisted a great deal in charting a good course for the progress of the Club. He also served Aba Sports Club in other positions like Treasurer, Vice President and Captain of Golf Section at various times.  To add to its aesthetics, and for the comfort of members and visitors, he built donated *The Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji Executive Lounge* for  Aba Sports Club 1926 with his personal resources. He is a Patron of Lawn Tennis Section and Patron of Draught Section of Aba Sports Club.  Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Aba Sports Club. He is a golfer and loves to play Lawn Tennis and Draught. He has won a lot of prizes and championships titles in the various games he plays. For instance he won the Green Jacket Golf tournament in 2011 and also has won the first prize in Draught Championship tournament in Aba Sports Club. He won the sports Man of the Year award 2023. SOCIAL He is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club International. Chief Eleanya Okoroji was in 2004, appointed the Culture and Tourism Ambassador of the Abia State Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 2005, he became a recipient of the 'Roll of Honor, Abia Forum. RELIGION Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji is a member of The St Peter's Presbyterian Church, Umungasi Aba. He has made contributions beyond his own denomination. He built and donated to The Apostolic Church Agbor-Court Abiriba a Parsonage. He has distinguished himself in the service of our Lord which culminated to various awards amongst which are: -The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria ABA North Presbytery MCA MERIT AWARD IN GOLD, May 15, 2004. -BEST COUPLE OF THE YEAR 2022 AWARD by the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Umungasi Aba W.G. -The AWARD OF COUPLE OF INTEGRITY by the Presbyterian Church Women's Guild no. 1 Azikiwe Rd on March 8 2015. The Abiriba Presbyterians (TAP) Centenary Celebration gave Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji Centenary Award for BUILDING A WORSHIP PLACE FOR GOD on December 28, 2011. He was named a 'Kingdom Builder' at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Umungasi Parish, Aba and Ogbor Hill Parish. He has served as Harvest Committee Chairman of his Parish and still serving as Audit Committee member of his Parish, St Peter's Presbyterian Church Umungasi, Aba. He went on holy pilgrimage to Israel in 2013. ABA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Chief Eleanya is a Patron and a Past President of the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA). His presidency in ACCIMA granted members the opportunity to travel with him on a successful business trips to China, Turkey and Canada. He was among the entourage of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan that met with President Xi Jing Ping of Peoples Republic of China on a business trip to Beijing China. He also was on the entourage of the former Vice President, Namadi Sambo on a business trip to Toronto Canada. Chief Eleanya Agu Okoroji as ACCIMA President hosted Chinese Commercial Counsellor, Mr Rong Yansong on 10th April 2012 in Aba. He hosted South Korean Embassy on 12th July, 2012 in Aba. He also hosted the Vietnamese Ambassador, Mr Hoang Ngoc Ho in ABA. All these business trips and hostings attracted a lot of business opportunities to ABA business community. GENERAL  He is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management. He holds the Chieftaincy title of Oji-Aka-Agho-Mgbo 1 of Aro Ikpa.  He is the General President of Okezie Age grade Abiriba where under his leadership a class room hall and offices were built and donated to Okezie School of Midwifery, Abiriba in 2024. He is also the President General of Okeziri Ezienyi League of Friends International of Abiriba, where under his able leadership Doctors and Senior staff quarters for the Abiriba General hospital in 2024 was built.
